Siamese and pointed cat names

Pointed cats, like Siamese, Himalayans and Ragdolls, have a temperature-sensitive pigment gene: the cooler parts of the body (ears, face, paws and tail) come out dark, and the warm body stays pale. Almost all have blue eyes.

That gives you two ways in. Name the eyes (Sapphire, Azul, Bleu, Ao) or name the coffee-and-milk coat (Macchiato, which literally means stained, Cortado or Latte). Mali, a Thai word for jasmine, is a nod to Siam itself.
